2018-2019 OPENINGS

SCHOOL NATURALIST/EXTENDED LEARNING TEACHER (1.0 FTE):  Cannon River STEM School is looking for a School Naturalist/Extended Learning Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.  The School Naturalist/Extended Learning Teacher will support CRSS’s place-based learning by working with each grade level to ensure that they participate in citizen science projects, projects to green our campus, and actively participate in environmental education programming.  This position will increase the school staff’s capacity in environmental education as well as working directly with students in environmental education projects and providing extended learning on environmental/science topics for students exceeding academic expectations.  For further information see School Naturalist-Extended Learning Teacher FY19.  Applicants should have (or have the ability to obtain) a valid MN teaching license AND a degree or significant coursework/experience in environmental education.  For fullest consideration, application should be received in the CRSS office by Wednesday, April 25th, 2018.  To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, copy of teaching license, three letters of reference, and a completed CRSS Employment Application.  Submit materials to address below.

AMERICORPS PROMISE FELLOW:  Cannon River STEM School is looking for an Americorps Promise Fellow for the 2018-2019 school year. Promise Fellows will support and deliver a variety of activities to support students by building and fostering strong relationships with at least 30 youth in grades 6-8. The Promise Fellow coordinates and delivers in and out of school time academic enrichment activities and coaches students to promote positive attendance and behavior outcomes. Promise Fellows serve 1720 hours (minimum) from September 1st  to July 31st and receive: Modest Living Allowance (approximately $574 twice per month pre-tax); Health and Dental Insurance; Qualified Student Loan Forbearance; $5,815 Education Award upon successful completion of service; Ongoing, extensive support and training.
