RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED $2.1 MILLION FIVE-YEAR LEVY RENEWAL FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE FARIBAULT PUBLIC SCHOOLS

WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Cannon River STEM School believes that all schools benefit when students have strong and adequately funded educational choices; and

WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Cannon River STEM School believes that the Faribault Public Schools are an essential part of the fabric of educational choice in the Faribault area; and

WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Cannon River STEM School believes that the Faribault Public Schools and the Cannon River STEM School should be strong and mutually-supportive partners in educating the children of Faribault and the surrounding area; and

WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Cannon River STEM School believes that a renewal of the current levy will provide the Faribault Public Schools with a measure of financial stability, and allow them to maintain their important role in offering all the children of Faribault choice and excellence in education,

The Board of Directors of the Cannon River STEM School hereby issues this RESOLUTION supporting the proposed $2.1 million five-year levy renewal for support of the Faribault Public Schools, which will appear on  the November 2, 2010 ballot.

Approved this 14th day of October, 2010 by the Board of Directors of the Cannon River STEM School.
