All About Ms. Brownlee
Hello everyone. From the moment I drove onto campus I knew this was the place for me! I am thrilled to be part of the CRSS staff.
In 1971 I graduated from Viterbo College in LaCrosse, WI with a BS in Education and an area of concentration in art. After teaching Kindergarten one year in Alamosa, Colorado, I moved back to Minnesota where I settled into teaching at the elementary school where I had gone.
I am excited to be teaching 1st grade for many reasons two of which are: the little ones are so ready to learn about anything that is presented to them and when I retire from teaching I will have the destinction to say that I’ve taught every grade Kindergarten through 8th during my career. Looking back I realize I’ve enjoyed practically every minute I’ve spent with the children no matter what their age.
I have two grown children who live in the Montgomery, Minnesota area. I also have two grandchildren who “keep grandma in the know” about what is current in the elementary school and the teenage world.
Gardening and landscaping keep me busy in the summer. Other times when I find some time I like to dabble in watercolor and acrylics. I also love to hand-build pottery.
I am eager to work with my young students as well as all the children at CRSS as we learn together.
