Greetings Kindergarteners and Families!

I believe that Kindergarten is one of the most important school years of a student’s life. Everyday necessary social skills and interactions are built upon and developed, and by utilizing my pre-primary emphasis and the Responsive Classroom approach, I will be focusing on developing these skills on a daily basis throughout all subject areas. Reading, writing, and the STEM subjects are also areas where extreme growth and development are introduced and taught in Kindergarten. By the end of Kindergarten students will have learned valuable reading and writing skills, about numbers as well as other mathematical concepts, and how to explore their surrounding areas using their senses and other scientific exploration skills. Kindergarteners will be introduced to the engineering design process, which is a valuable tool that can be used throughout all subject areas, and will also be exploring and using many different forms of technology.

I look forward to a fun filled year of learning for everyone and will strive to make Kindergarten a memorable year for each and every one of my students.
